Our client, a domestic real estate operator and service provider, appointed a new CEO with a clear mandate to address balance sheet issues and redefine the business model post-Covid. With a focus on sustainability and smart buildings, the ambition was to shift from a portfolio owner to an operator. But the capital markets lacked an understanding of project viability, balance sheet constraints, and the implications for the dividend policy.

Led by Severine Camp, our team provided full-service advisory and storyboarding for the Capital Markets Day. We systematically broke down the returns and ambitions in the company’s shift to its new business model, and developed messaging that emphasised execution and future proofing through non-financial KPIs. We also distilled sustainability across all strategic aspects, avoiding isolation to ESG components and emphasising its integral role in the company’s vision.
